This landmark law secures new privacy rights for California consumers, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oag.ca.gov\/privacy\/ccpa#sectionc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">right to know<\/a>\u00a0about the personal information a business collects about them and how it is used and shared;<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oag.ca.gov\/privacy\/ccpa#sectione\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">right to delete<\/a>\u00a0personal information collected from them (with some exceptions);<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oag.ca.gov\/privacy\/ccpa#sectionb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">right to opt-out<\/a>\u00a0of the sale of their personal information; and<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oag.ca.gov\/privacy\/ccpa#sectionf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">right to non-discrimination<\/a>\u00a0for exercising their CCPA rights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oag.ca.gov\/privacy\/ccpa#sectiona\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Businesses<\/a>\u00a0are required to give consumers certain notices <a href=\"https:\/\/oag.ca.gov\/privacy\/ccpa#sectiond\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">explaining their privacy practices<\/a>.
