Through Jonathan and the Tufts lacrosse team, Dermot found a team of his own, something his mom was never sure he would be able to have. &#8220;Dermot has a complex medical profile<strong>. He has not had many opportunities to participate in sports, and this has been an experience like no other in his 11 years,<\/strong>\u201d Kelly said. \u201cFrom day one, <strong>Jonathan has been kind, brotherly, and aware of all Dermot&#8217;s needs<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"2024 Teammate of the Year: Dermot &amp; Jonathan, Tufts Lacrosse\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rbzyOtFNsSw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After an exciting season in 2023 that resulted in a trip to the NCAA Division III, Dermot and his teammates had tasted success. Each year, they go trick-or-treating together around Halloween and take trips to see Santa during Christmastime. \u201cJonathan also has sent videos from the team to celebrate Dermot&#8217;s birthday and to show their support for his surgeries,\u201d Kelly said.
